Mow Down: Lawn Survivors — Privacy Policy

    The short version

    You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or contact details. Your game progress is saved only on your device. Google AdMob processes some device and usage information to show and measure ads, while Apple and RevenueCat process information needed for in-app purchases. We do not sell your personal information.

    1. Who We Are

    Mow Down: Lawn Survivors ("Mow Down" or "the game") is an iOS game made by Olaverse Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information is handled when you play and why. It covers the game only; our website privacy policy covers olaverse.co.uk separately.

    2. Information Stored on Your Device

    Mow Down saves the following information locally on your device:

    • Your coin balance.
    • Your unlocked mowers and areas.
    • Your upgrades.
    • Your best times and Daily Yard results.
    • Your sound settings.

    This information is not sent to us, and we have no servers that store it. Deleting the app deletes this local game data. Because we do not hold a copy, we cannot retrieve or restore it for you.

    3. Advertising — Google AdMob

    The free version of Mow Down shows ads provided by Google AdMob:

    • Banner ads on menu screens.
    • Interstitial ads shown occasionally between runs.
    • Rewarded videos that you can choose to watch for an in-game benefit, such as Keep Mowing or Double Coins.

    To show and measure ads, Google may collect:

    • Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
    • Your IP address and approximate location derived from it.
    • Device information such as the device model, operating system, and language.
    • Ad interactions, including ads viewed and tapped.
    • Diagnostic information about ad performance and crashes.

    Google handles this information under the Google Privacy Policy. Google also explains how it uses information from apps in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

    We do not send Google your coins, unlocked content, upgrades, best times, Daily Yard results, or sound settings.

    4. Your Advertising Choices

    • App Tracking Transparency: iOS asks whether Mow Down may track you. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, your IDFA is not shared for tracking and you see non-personalised ads. You can change this later under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
    • UK and EEA consent: if you are in the UK or EEA, a Google consent form asks how your information may be used for ads. You can review or change your choice in the game under Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.
    • Remove Ads: buying Remove Ads or the Groundskeeper Pack turns off banner and between-run ads. Rewarded videos remain available only when you choose to watch one.

    5. In-App Purchases — Apple and RevenueCat

    Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple handles your payment information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see your card or payment details.

    We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and restore eligible purchases on your devices. RevenueCat receives:

    • An anonymous, randomly generated app user ID that Mow Down does not link to your name or email address.
    • Your purchase history for this app, including the product, price, currency, and date.
    • Basic technical information, including the operating-system version and app version.
    • The IP address and country associated with the request.

    6. Sharing Your Lawn

    The Share My Lawn button creates an image on your device. The image is shared only if you choose a destination through the iOS share sheet, and it goes only where you choose to send it. We do not receive the image. The service or person you share it with may handle it under their own terms and privacy practices.

    7. What We Do Not Do

    • No account: Mow Down does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other contact details.
    • No sensitive device access: the game does not collect your contacts, photos, or precise location.
    • No analytics server of our own: we do not run our own analytics or tracking servers. AdMob processes ad-related information as described in section 3.
    • No payment details: Apple processes payments.
    • No selling: we do not sell personal information.

    8. Data Retention, Deletion, and Your Rights

    • Data on your device: deleting Mow Down removes its locally saved game data.
    • Advertising data: Google retains advertising information according to its policies. You can restrict tracking through the controls described in section 4.
    • Purchase records: Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase information for as long as needed to provide and restore purchases and to meet legal and financial obligations.

    Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To make a request about information we control, email contact@olaverse.co.uk. Purchase records use an anonymous identifier, so we may need that ID or an App Store receipt to locate a record.

    Requests about information controlled by Google, RevenueCat, or Apple may need to be made through their privacy processes. In the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EEA, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

    9. If You Contact Us

    If you email us for support or about privacy, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use it to respond to and manage your request. We do not add you to a marketing list.

    10. Children

    Mow Down is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own systems. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help with its removal. A parent or guardian should supervise in-app purchases and can use Apple's parental controls for purchases and tracking.

    11. Changes to This Policy

    If this policy changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of the page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.

    Appendix: Legal Detail

    This appendix restates the practices above using terms commonly used in privacy law.

    A. Controller, Service Providers, and Scope

    For UK and EU data-protection purposes, Olaverse Labs is the controller for purchase information made available to us through RevenueCat and for correspondence you send us. Contact us at contact@olaverse.co.uk. Game progress is processed only on your device and is not under our control.

    RevenueCat provides purchase validation and restoration services. Apple is responsible for App Store payments. Google processes information collected through AdMob and its consent tools under Google's policies. Recipients you select through the iOS share sheet handle shared images independently of us.

    B. Why Information Is Processed

    • Local game data: used on your device to save your progress and settings. We do not receive it.
    • Purchase information: used to complete, validate, and restore purchases and to provide the items you bought.
    • Advertising information: used by Google to show, secure, and measure ads. Where consent is required, Google's consent form and Apple's tracking permission provide the relevant choices.
    • Support correspondence: used to answer a request that you choose to send us.
    • Shared lawn images: created and shared at your direction entirely through your device. We do not process them.

    C. UK and EEA Privacy Rights

    Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Local game data can be erased by deleting the app because we hold no copy.

    For purchase information available to us and correspondence you have sent us, email contact@olaverse.co.uk. For advertising information, use the controls in section 4 or contact Google through its privacy process.

    D. United States State Privacy Disclosures

    • Purchase information: an anonymous identifier, purchase history, basic device information, IP address, and country are handled to provide purchase functionality.
    • Advertising information: device identifiers where permitted, IP address and approximate location, device details, ad interactions, and diagnostic information are handled by Google.
    • Targeted advertising: where you permit tracking, Google may use advertising information for personalised or cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out using the controls in section 4.
    • Sensitive information: Mow Down does not collect contacts, photos, or precise location.
    • Sale: Olaverse Labs does not sell personal information for money.

    To make an applicable privacy request about information we control, email contact@olaverse.co.uk. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

    E. International Processing

    Your local game data and lawn images are not transferred to us. Google, RevenueCat, and Apple may process the information described in this policy in countries other than your own, as explained in their privacy policies.

    F. Security and Automated Decisions

    Your local game data is protected by the security of your device. Information sent to third-party services is transmitted using their technical safeguards. We do not use Mow Down data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Google may personalise ads if you give the required permission and consent, under Google's policies.
